Frequently Asked Questions:
How do your tours work?
We'll provide each participant with an appropriately sized mountain bike, helmet and water bottle (participant may bring their own bikes if preferred). After going over bike usage and safety, the guide leads the group (no more than 15 participants per guide) on their adventure. Several stops are built into the tour, and there are plenty of opportunities to ask questions or take pictures!
Who can participate?
Our tours are completed at a relaxing pace and are for the "occasional" exerciser. We welcome anyone 9 years or older, who is in sufficient health to comfortably ride a bicycle. Consult a physician if you are in doubt. A parent or guardian must accompany children under 16 years old.
Who leads the tours?
Our lead guides have been professionally licensed and trained in CPR and First Aid. All other guides are avid cyclists and may be professionally licensed and trained in CPR and First Aid. Gratuities for your guides are greatly appreciated.
What do I need to bring?
We will provide you with a mountain bike fitted to your appropriate size. Helmets and full water bottles are also provided. All tours are outdoors so wear seasonally appropriate clothing (not too loose) and closed-toe shoes. Don't forget your camera, but please pack lightly, as you will be riding with your belongings. Each participant will be required to sign a waiver and release form at the start of the tour. Children not of legal age must have a parent or guardian sign his or her waiver.
Will there be bathroom breaks?
We request that customers use the facilities before going on tour; however, there are some bathrooms available during the tour if needed.
Tours may be cancelled if the weather makes for dangerous riding conditions.

My husband and I, along with our 4 kids, ages 10, 9, 6 and 3 absolutely loved this activity!!! Our oldest boys rode up front with the tour guide who was very outgoing and knowledgeable about the sites and entertained all the kids questions. My 6 year old was on a tandem bike with me which he loved. He felt like a big kid but I did all the pedaling. And our 3 year old loved the trailer and actually fell asleep in it. Our kids say it was their favorite part of the trip and they cant wait to do it the next time we visit!

Our bike tour was fantastic. We took our 10-year-old grandson and it was the highlight of our trip. After growing up in DC, I saw things I had never seen before. We booked online as the tours were filling up fast.

This was a lot of fun! Something I would definitely recommend doing early in your vacation. This is a wonderful way to see all the sites without getting tired and extremely hot in the process. The bikes were comfortable, pace good, tour guide knowledgeable and we had enough time to enjoy each of the monuments.

This was a great tour! Our guide was knowledgeable and congenial and the entire evening was very enjoyable. There were children of all ages (my son was 9 and not the youngest) and no one seemed to be bored. The ride was also very safe. I would love to do this again on my next visit to Washington. This company was also good enough to call me a few days prior to our tour date and that is always appreciated!

Lincoln Memorial
There was a rule that no monument could be taller than the Capital building when the Lincoln Memorial was built. Due to this restriction they made this monument of Lincoln sitting down so that they could still make him and his features large and visible from far away.

Washington Monument at Dusk
Although the tour has to start during daylight since it takes a few hours they time it so that you are at the Lincoln Memorial looking back towards Washington Monument at dusk.

My stunning bike
I was really surprised how comfortable these bikes were. Really not bad to ride. The vests are a little ugly, but good since the sun is set by the time you peddle back.
